Day 12 – Baptism of Spiritual Gifts

Scripture

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.” — 1 Corinthians 12:7–11

Promise

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a baptism of gifts—Jesus ministering through His people with supernatural ability so the church is strengthened and the world sees His power.

Quote

“The baptism of the Spirit is a baptism of gifts—every gift a reflection of Jesus ministering through His body.” — Dr. Daniel LeBlanc

Devotion

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not only a baptism of power and boldness—it is also a baptism of spiritual gifts. When the Spirit comes upon you, He equips you with supernatural abilities that reflect Jesus ministering through His body.

Paul makes this clear: “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all” (1 Cor. 12:7). That means every believer—yes, even you—has spiritual gifts. No one is left out. And these gifts are not medals of honor to show off, but tools of service to bless others and glorify Christ.

The Spirit distributes these gifts as He wills, but Scripture also tells us to “desire spiritual gifts” (1 Cor. 14:1). This means we can ask for more, hunger for more, and be available for more. When we say, “Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You,” we are inviting Him to manifest Jesus through us with gifts that meet real needs.

The book of Acts shows how these gifts changed lives:

  • Philip’s preaching was accompanied by healings and deliverances that brought joy to Samaria (Acts 8:6–7).

  • Agabus prophesied a coming famine, preparing the church to respond (Acts 11:27–28).

  • Paul’s ministry was marked by miracles and healings—even handkerchiefs carried to the sick brought healing (Acts 19:11–12).

These gifts were never about making men famous—they were about making Jesus known. And the same Spirit who manifested through them desires to manifest through you.

Let’s make some application now. Begin by asking the Spirit to reveal the gifts He has placed within you. Say, “Hello Holy Spirit, show me the gifts You’ve given me.” Then go further—ask Him to stir up fresh gifts and impart new ones as you step out in faith. When you see a need—healing, encouragement, wisdom—pray, “Holy Spirit, manifest through me.” Then yield and let Him flow.

Declaration

I am baptized in the Holy Spirit, and I walk in a baptism of gifts. Today I say, “Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You.” Manifest Jesus through me with wisdom, power, and love so that others may be strengthened and Christ may be glorified.

Prayer

Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You. Thank You for giving me gifts for the profit of all. Stir up every gift within me, reveal the gifts I have not yet discovered, and impart fresh ones as I hunger for more. Use me today to manifest Jesus through prophecy, wisdom, healing, or whatever gift is needed. Amen.
