Day 11 – Baptism of Boldness

Scripture

“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” — Acts 4:31

Promise

The baptism of the Holy Spirit fills you with boldness, turning fear into courage so you can testify of Christ with confidence.

Quote

“The Holy Spirit baptizes us in boldness—transforming ordinary, timid disciples into fearless witnesses for Jesus.” — Dr. Daniel LeBlanc

Devotion

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is more than an emotional experience—it is an infusion of boldness. Before Pentecost, the disciples loved Jesus, but they were fearful and hiding behind locked doors. After Pentecost, those same disciples stood in the streets, declaring the gospel with power.

Peter is the clearest example. The man who denied Jesus three times now stood before thousands and boldly proclaimed, “This Jesus whom you crucified, God has made both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:36). What changed? Peter was baptized in boldness by the Holy Spirit.

This boldness wasn’t arrogance—it was the Spirit empowering ordinary believers to speak with heaven’s authority. And it didn’t stop at Pentecost. In Acts 4, when persecution rose, the disciples prayed again, and “they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” The Spirit kept baptizing them in courage every time they faced new challenges.

Here’s the good news: this same baptism of boldness is for you. Every time you whisper, “Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You,” you are inviting the Spirit to clothe you with courage. Fear may try to silence you, but the Spirit gives you words. Intimidation may try to hold you back, but the Spirit empowers you to step forward.

Let’s make some application now. Where do you need boldness? Is it in sharing your testimony? Praying for a co-worker? Standing for truth in a difficult environment? Ask the Spirit today: “Hello Holy Spirit, baptize me in boldness.” Then step out in faith, trusting Him to speak and act through you.

Declaration

I am baptized in the Holy Spirit, and I walk in boldness. Fear cannot hold me back. Today I say, “Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You—fill me with courage to testify of Jesus.”

Prayer

Hello Holy Spirit, I welcome You. Baptize me in boldness today. Fill me with courage to speak when I would stay silent, to act when I would shrink back, and to live with confidence in Christ. Let every word I speak and every step I take testify of Jesus without fear. Amen.
