991. Promise: God preserves your soul from destruction.

“He guards all his bones; not one of them is broken.” (Psalm 34:20)

992. Promise: God opens prison doors and sets captives free.

“He led prisoners from prison, blind men from dungeons.” (Isaiah 42:7)

993. Promise: God redeems your life from de- struction and crowns you with love.

“He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.” (Psalm 103:4)

994. Promise: God is our rock, fortress, and deliverer.

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior.” (2 Samuel 22:2)

995. Promise: God saves us from violent enemies and is our stronghold.

“My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation.” (2 Samuel 22:3)
