Destined to Win: Day 24

Day 24 – Win Like Eagles — Love Storms

Scripture

“But those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.” — Isaiah 40:31 (TPT)

Quote

“Destiny champions are never under the circumstances; they rise above adversities.”

— Dr. Daniel LeBlanc

Teaching

The eagle’s relationship with storms is unlike any other creature in nature. While smaller birds panic, scatter, and hide at the first sign of dark clouds, the eagle turns toward the storm and flies directly into it. It understands something the lesser birds do not: the winds that intimidate others are the same winds that elevate the eagle to heights it could never reach in calm weather. An eagle stretches its wings, locks them in place, and allows the rising currents to lift it above the clouds. What is adversity to others becomes acceleration to the eagle. And just as the eagle rises above the storm, destiny champions rise above adversities. They do not live under circumstances—they live over them.

When some believers face pressure, trials, or conflict, their first instinct is often to run, question God, or retreat into fear. But champions think differently. They understand that storms carry a divine purpose. Adversity reveals courage, develops endurance, and exposes areas that need strengthening. Storms refine what comfort leaves untouched. And often, the greatest elevations in a believer’s life happen when the winds are strongest. Just as the eagle sees the storm as an ally, not an enemy, destiny-minded believers recognize that God uses storms to lift them into spiritual altitudes where clarity becomes sharp, faith becomes fierce, and fear loses its hold.

The eagle also teaches us a deeper dimension of this truth through its famous strategy for defeating snakes. The eagle never battles a snake on the ground, because the ground is the snake’s realm of advantage. Instead, the eagle seizes the serpent and carries it into the thin, high atmosphere where the snake becomes disoriented and powerless. The moment the snake leaves the earth and enters the eagle’s territory, the battle is already won. Once the snake is lifted into a higher dimension, the eagle simply releases it, and gravity finishes the work. This is a picture of spiritual warfare: we never fight on the enemy’s level. We rise into God’s altitude. We never fight for victory; we fight from victory in heavenly places. Our battle is never fought from beneath the circumstances or from the limitations of earth. We fight from above—from the Third Heaven, seated with Christ at the Throne of Grace—bold, confident, and unhindered. (Hebrews 4:16)

Every adversity has the potential to lift you upward if you refuse to be intimidated by the winds. Storms push you into prayer, sharpen your dependence on God, and reveal the authority you carry in Christ. They drive you out of comfort and into spiritual maturity. Many breakthroughs happen only because a storm forced a believer to rise higher. What looks like opposition is often elevation disguised.

Storms do not come to destroy you; they come to develop you. They break the illusion of self-sufficiency and anchor your heart in God’s presence. They drive you into spiritual altitudes where the voice of God is clearer, the attacks of the enemy are weaker, and your perspective becomes heavenly. This is why Isaiah declared that those who entwine their hearts with God will “rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles.” The winds that were meant to break you become the same winds that carry you into your destiny.

Destiny champions are never under the circumstances. They rise above adversities. They embrace storms because storms lift them. And like eagles, they discover that higher altitudes are already reserved for them in God.

Application

1. Identify the storm or adversity you are facing today.

2. Ask God what elevation this storm is producing in your life.

3. Declare that you choose to rise above the circumstances rather than live under them.

Declaration

I rise above adversity. I refuse to live under the circumstances. By God’s strength, I ascend into the altitude of victory. The winds that oppose me will lift me, and every storm will carry me closer to my destiny.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit, lift me above every adversity I face. Help me to see storms the way You see them—as opportunities for elevation. Strengthen my heart, stabilize my spirit, and empower me to rise above circumstances instead of living beneath them. Teach me to soar with confidence, clarity, and courage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
