Strengthening Faith — Believing, Speaking, and Standing

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17 (KJV)

Strengthening Faith — Believing, Speaking, and Standing

There comes a point in the healing journey when we must do more than simply desire healing. We must strengthen our faith, anchor our hope, speak God’s promises, and stand until what God has promised becomes what we see manifested in our lives. Healing is not only about receiving a touch from God; it is also about learning to live in agreement with His Word.

During the first four weeks, we have seen that God loves us, God wants us well, His Word renews our minds, His love heals broken places in the heart, and His restoring power reaches even into the body. Now, in Week 5, we focus on strengthening the faith that receives, believes, speaks, and stands. Faith is not passive. Faith hears what God says, believes what God says, speaks what God says, and refuses to quit when symptoms, reports, or circumstances try to speak louder than the promise.

This week begins with Faith Comes by Hearing, because faith is strengthened by what we continually hear. We must be intentional about filling our ears with the Word of God until the promise becomes louder than fear. The voice we listen to the most will become the voice we echo through our own mouths.

Then we will discover that Hope Anchors the Soul. Hope keeps us steady when emotions are being pulled by pain, fear, waiting, or uncertainty. Hope is not weak wishing; hope is confident expectation in the faithfulness of God. When hope is anchored in God’s promise, the soul does not have to drift with every wave.

We will also learn the power of Calling Things That Are Not. Abraham teaches us that faith does not merely describe what is visible; faith agrees with what God has spoken. We do not deny facts, but we refuse to let facts become greater than truth. The fight of faith says what God says in the face of what has not yet changed.

The story of The Woman Who Refused to Quit will show us what persistent faith looks like. She had suffered for years, spent everything, and had no natural reason to expect improvement. Yet she heard of Jesus, pressed through the crowd, touched His garment, and received her healing. Her story reminds us that faith reaches when everything else says to retreat.

In Abraham’s Unwavering Faith, we will see that strong faith does not ignore impossible circumstances; it simply refuses to make them final. Abraham considered the promise of God greater than the limitations of his own body. He was strengthened in faith, gave glory to God, and became fully persuaded that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.

Then we will focus on Speaking Life, because death and life are in the power of the tongue. Our words are not empty sounds; they reveal what we believe and help shape the atmosphere around us. We must stop giving sickness the loudest voice and begin speaking life, healing, strength, and restoration according to the Word of God.

Finally, we will receive Strength for the Journey. Healing journeys can require patience, endurance, wisdom, and renewed strength. Isaiah reminds us that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. God does not merely call us to stand; He gives us strength while we are standing.

This week is a challenge to become intentional with your ears, your heart, your hope, your words, and your stand of faith. Do not merely listen to the problem. Hear the promise. Do not merely repeat the report. Speak the Word. Do not merely survive the journey. Stand in faith until hope rises, strength returns, and your mouth becomes an echo of Heaven.
