791. Promise: False gods have no power and cannot help those who worship them.

“But their idols are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see.” (Psalm 115:4- 5)

792. Promise: Worshiping lifeless idols leads to spiritual emptiness and ruin.

“Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.” (Psalm 115:8)

793. Promise: Trusting in false gods leads to spiritual emptiness and failure.

“The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see… Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.”
