891. Promise: God clothes us in garments of salvation and robes of righteousness.
“He has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.” (Isaiah 61:10)
892. Promise: God delivers us from wrath and reconciles us through Christ.
“Since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son… we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.” (Romans 5:10)
893. Promise: God has already given us everything we need for a godly life through His promises.
“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life.” (2 Peter 1:3–4)
894. Promise: Christ has freed us into true freedom—stand firm and refuse to return to bondage.
“Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.” (Galatians 5:1)
895. Promise: Submit to God and resist the devil—he will flee from you.
“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
