Promises of Christ’s Reign: 781 - 785
781. Promise: God has given Jesus authority over all things and will bring all His enemies under His rule.
“The Lord says to my Lord: ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.’” (Psalm 110:1)
782. Promise: Christ’s kingdom is established, and He rules even in the presence of opposition.
“The Lord will extend Your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, ‘Rule in the midst of Your enemies!’” (Psalm 110:2)
783. Promise: God’s people will freely and eagerly serve Christ, reflecting His holiness.
“Your troops will be willing on Your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, Your young men will come to You like dew from the morning’s womb.” (Psalm 110:3)
784. Promise: Jesus is our eternal High Priest, interceding on our behalf forever.
“The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: ‘You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.’” (Psalm 110:4)
785. Promise: Every force that opposes God will ultimately be subdued under His authority.
