681. Promise: God promises to uphold jus- tice for the poor and needy, ensuring their cause is supported.

“The Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.” (Psalm 140:12)

682. Promise: God promises to protect His people, acting as their shield and honor, lifting them up when they are in distress.

“You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” (Psalm 3:3)

683. Promise: God promises to provide per- fect peace to those who steadfastly trust in Him.

“God will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in Him.” (Isaiah 26:3)

684. Promise: God promises to answer when His people call in times of trouble and de- liver them, so that they may glorify Him.

“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” (Psalm 50:15)

685. Promise: God promises to protect His faithful servants and bring silence to the wicked.

“He will guard the feet of His faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.” (1 Samuel 2:9)
