Promises 616-620

616. Promise: God promises to guard and guide His people in every step they take, from now and throughout eternity.

“The Lord will keep your going out and your com- ing in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:8)

617. Promise: God promises to be the eternal light for His people, bringing an end to their sorrow.

“The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.” (Isaiah 60:20)

618. Promise: God promises to be a secure refuge and fortress, in whom His people can place their trust for safety and protection.

“You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2)

619. Promise: God promises to delight in those who fear Him and place their hope in His mercy.

“The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.” (Psalm 147:11)

620. Promise: God promises to sustain His people with care and support, even through their old age.

“Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am He, I am He who will sustain you.” (Isaiah 46:4)
