Promises 1236-1240

1236. Promise: You are not condemned if you belong to Christ.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

1237. Promise: You are free from the power of sin.

“Sin is no longer your master… Now you are free from your slavery to sin.” (Romans 6:14,18)

1238. Promise: You are delivered from the domain of darkness.

“For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:13)

1239. Promise: God will strengthen you to do His will.

“May he equip you with all you need for doing his will.” (Hebrews 13:21)

1240. Promise: You are born of God and the evil one cannot touch you.

“We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning… and the evil one cannot touch them.” (1 John 5:18)
