Promises 1106-1110
1106. Promise: God delivers the needy who cry out and the helpless who have no one.
“He will rescue the poor when they cry to him; he will help the oppressed.” (Psalm 72:12)
1107. Promise: God gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
“He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” (Isaiah 40:29)
1108. Promise: He will uphold you with His victorious right hand.
“I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
1109. Promise: You will not be scorched by fire or overwhelmed by rivers.
“When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up… the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2)
1110. Promise: God brings captives out of prison and sets them free.
“He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.” (Isaiah 61:1)
