Promises 1101-1105

1101. Promise: He gives beauty for ashes and joy instead of mourning.

“To all who mourn… he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning.” (Isaiah 61:3)

1102. Promise: The Lord rescues the godly; He is their fortress in times of trouble.

“The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble.” (Psalm 37:39)

1103. Promise: God gives rest to His loved ones.

“It is useless for you to work so hard… for God gives rest to his loved ones.” (Psalm 127:2)

1104. Promise: The Lord will fight your battles—you only need to be still.

“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” (Exodus 14:14)

1105. Promise: The Lord lifts you out of the pit and sets your feet on solid ground.

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair… He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me.” (Psalm 40:2)
