“You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in Your word.” (Psalm 119:114)
548. Promise: God promises to be the confidence and protector of His people, guarding them from sudden fear and trouble.
“Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.” (Proverbs 3:25-26)
549. Promise: God promises to provide strength and help, ensuring His people will not be shamed or disgraced.
“Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.” (Isaiah 50:7)
