Day 14: You Carry the Prince of Peace
Day 14: You Carry the Prince of Peace
Scripture:
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
—Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
“Peace isn’t just something you find; it’s someone who carries you.”
— Dr. Daniel LeBlanc
Reflection:
Peace is not just an experience you visit occasionally when things settle down. Peace is a Person—Jesus Christ—and He lives inside of you permanently. The day you gave your life to Christ, the Prince of Peace moved into your heart, bringing His presence, His authority, and His atmosphere with Him. You don’t have to summon peace from a far-off place when storms come. You simply have to acknowledge the One who already lives inside you. Jesus is called the Prince of Peace because He is the ruler of peace itself. Wherever His reign is acknowledged, peace is established. Wherever His name is lifted, fear must bow. When you carry the Prince of Peace, you carry more than a calm feeling—you carry the very power to change atmospheres, heal hearts, silence storms, and overcome chaos. You cannot control how other people act or react. You cannot control what storms come or what pressures rise. But you do have control over your peace—because your peace is not based on them. Your peace is a Person. You have the Prince of Peace living inside you, and He is not shaken by circumstances. Peace is not something you lose because of someone else’s behavior; it is something you choose because of who you carry. Many believers still live as if they are searching for peace outside of themselves. They hope circumstances will calm, people will behave, or problems will resolve. But true peace is not external. True peace is internal because Jesus lives within. Circumstances may swirl and shift, but the Prince of Peace remains steadfast, unshakable, and fully present within you. And not only does He remain within you—He carries you. His strength becomes your strength. His stability becomes your stability. You are not simply holding onto Him; He is holding onto you, lifting you above the storms that rage. Peace is not just your anchor; Peace Himself is your carrier. When you walk into a room, peace should walk into the room with you. When you enter a difficult conversation, peace should enter with you. When you stand in a chaotic situation, you are not standing alone—you are standing with the Prince of Peace whose government is unshakable. Your presence can shift the spiritual atmosphere because you are carrying the One who reigns over all.
Today, do not pray for peace to come to you as if it were distant. Instead, recognize and declare that you already carry the Prince of Peace. Acknowledge His presence inside of you, speak His name boldly, and walk with the confidence that wherever you go, peace goes with you—and the storms of life must bow to the One who lives within.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are the Prince of Peace, and You live inside of me. I thank You that peace is not something I have to search for—it is someone I carry, and someone who faithfully carries me through every storm, every fear, and every challenge. Today, I acknowledge Your presence within me. I submit to Your reign in my heart, and I choose to release Your peace everywhere I go. I refuse to let other people’s actions steal what You have given me. Let my life be a living testimony that the Prince of Peace is real, victorious, and alive within His people. Thank You that wherever I walk today, peace walks with me—and carries me through. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
