Destined to Win: Day 38
DAY 38 — Destined to Win—Overcoming by Faith Over Fear
Scripture
“And they overcame and conquered him… And they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.” — Revelation 12:11 (AMP)
Quote
“Faith over fear is living convinced that God is a good God regardless of the circumstances and no matter the cost.”
—Dr. Daniel LeBlanc
Teaching
The final element of overcoming in Revelation 12:11 is not volume, effort, or intensity—it is surrender. Scripture says they overcame because they did not love their life even when faced with death. This describes a people who understood they were destined to win, not because outcomes were guaranteed to be comfortable, but because God Himself was trustworthy. Faith over fear does not mean fear never appears; it means fear no longer leads. Those who know they are destined to win allow trust in God to outweigh the desire to control outcomes.
This kind of faith is powerfully illustrated in the story of the three Hebrew men—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They refused to bow to fear or compromise their trust in God, even when threatened with death. They boldly declared that God was able to deliver them, but even if He did not, they would not bow. They trusted that God would save them—either by sparing their lives or by carrying them through death itself. Their confidence was not anchored to a preferred outcome but to the character of their Creator. They understood something deep and unshakable: they were destined to win, whether through miraculous deliverance or faithful surrender.
Fear draws its strength from attachment—to safety, reputation, comfort, or control. But when faith anchors the heart in eternal truth, fear loses its authority. The enemy cannot intimidate someone who knows their life is hidden in Christ and their destiny is secure. Like the three Hebrew men, when you trust God whether you live or die, win or lose, are rescued immediately or not at all, fear is disarmed. They were not afraid to die because they trusted their Creator regardless of the outcome—and that trust positioned them to walk in victory. This is the mindset of those who know they are destined to win.
Faith over fear is not recklessness; it is confidence in God’s goodness. Jesus Himself modeled this surrender. He entrusted His life fully to the Father, even unto death, and resurrection power followed. When you choose faith over fear, you align with Heaven’s pattern of victory. Obedience becomes possible even when it is costly because trust has replaced self-preservation. Those who live this way are not guessing their future—they are walking out a destiny already secured in God.
Fear asks, “What if I lose?” Faith declares, “God is good.” Fear focuses on survival; faith focuses on obedience. Fear magnifies risk; faith magnifies trust. The enemy loses leverage when fear no longer governs your decisions. When you know you are destined to win, fear has nothing left to threaten you with.
You are not called to preserve your life at all costs; you are called to trust the One who gave it. When faith leads, fear follows at a distance. This is how overcomers live. This is how victory is sustained. This is how those who are destined to win walk forward with courage, peace, and unshakable confidence in God’s goodness.
Application
Identify any area where fear has been influencing your decisions—fear of loss, rejection, failure, or uncertainty. Bring that fear honestly before God and choose surrender. Remind yourself today that you are destined to win, not because circumstances are easy, but because God is faithful. Declare your trust in God’s goodness regardless of outcome, and take one step of obedience that faith requires.
Declaration
I overcome by faith over fear. I am convinced that God is good in every circumstance and worthy of my trust no matter the cost. I will not bow to fear or compromise my faith. Fear does not lead my life—faith does. I am surrendered, secure, and destined to win.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I surrender every fear that has tried to rule my heart. I choose faith over fear, trust over control, and obedience over self-preservation. Like the faithful witnesses before me, I trust You regardless of the outcome. Strengthen my confidence in Your goodness and help me walk boldly in the destiny You have already secured for me. I trust You with my life, my future, and my destiny, knowing I am destined to win. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
