Day 3: Healing Is Part of Your Redemption

Healing Is Part of Your Redemption

“Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” — 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)

Many believers have no difficulty accepting that Jesus died for their sins, yet they struggle to believe that He also provided healing for their bodies. However, the Bible presents both as part of the same redemptive work. The cross was not merely a place where sins were forgiven; it was a place where the curse was broken, freedom was purchased, and healing was provided.

Imagine receiving an inheritance worth millions of dollars but never opening the envelope that tells you what belongs to you. The wealth is legally yours, but you cannot enjoy what you do not know. In much the same way, many Christians have received salvation but have never discovered the fullness of what Jesus purchased through His sacrifice. They rejoice over forgiveness while remaining unaware that healing was also included in the package of redemption.

The prophet Isaiah looked hundreds of years into the future and saw what Jesus would accomplish on the cross. He declared that Christ would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows and that by His stripes we would be healed. When Peter later looked back at the finished work of Calvary, he confirmed that healing had already been secured. The cross was God's declaration that sin, sickness, and every work of the enemy would not have the final word.

Redemption means that what Jesus purchased now belongs to you. Healing is not something you must earn, achieve, or deserve. It is part of the inheritance Christ secured through His finished work. Just as forgiveness is received by faith, healing is received by faith. The question is no longer whether God is willing to provide healing. The question becomes whether we will receive what Christ has already purchased.

Here is today's exciting discovery: healing is not something you must convince God to do—it is something Jesus has already purchased for you. Redemption is Heaven's receipt that the price has been paid in full. Every promise of healing in God's Word reminds you of what belongs to you because of Christ's finished work. As you meditate on your redemption, faith rises, hope awakens, and your expectation for supernatural recovery grows stronger. God's prescription is not to strive for healing but to confidently receive what has already been provided through Jesus Christ.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the finished work of Jesus Christ. Thank You that through His sacrifice my sins have been forgiven, and healing has been provided. Open my eyes to see the fullness of my redemption and all that belongs to me through Christ. Teach me to receive by faith what Jesus has already purchased on my behalf. I place my trust in Your promises today, and I thank You in advance for my healing, restoration, and complete recovery. In Jesus' name, Amen.
