Promise 1291-1295
1291. Promise: He keeps the righteous from being shaken.
“Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.” (Psalm 112:6)
1292. Promise: God gives joy instead of despair.
“To all who mourn… he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.” (Isaiah 61:3)
1293. Promise: He strengthens you on your sickbed and restores you.
“The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health.” (Psalm 41:3)
1294. Promise: God will carry you and save you.
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime… I will carry you along and save you.” (Isaiah 46:4)
1295. Promise: He protects and defends the helpless.
“Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy.” (Psalm 68:5)
