Day 5: Daily Declarations of Success
Principle 5: Anointed Imagination
Declare the Word
“I declare that my imagination is sanctified and anointed by the Spirit of God. I see beyond the natural into the possibilities of Heaven. My thoughts are creative, my vision is clear, and my imagination is aligned with God’s plans and purposes.”
Believe the Word
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” — Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
Apply the Word
Imagination is one of the most powerful faculties God has given you. It is the ability to see what does not yet exist, to envision what could be, and to form pictures of the future in your mind. But imagination was never meant to be ruled by fantasy, fear, or fleshly desire. When surrendered to God, it becomes a tool of faith—a sanctified imagination that partners with the Spirit to bring Heaven’s vision into the earth.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do far more than we can ask or even think. That word think points directly to the function of imagination. In other words, no matter how expansive your Spirit-led imagination is, God’s ability always surpasses it. The key is that your imagination must be energized by the Spirit—“according to the power that works in us.”
The enemy often tries to corrupt imagination. Fear is negative imagination—seeing a future filled with failure, loss, or disaster. Lust is twisted imagination—using your mind to picture what God has forbidden. Worry is vain imagination—running endless scenarios of “what if” without faith. This is why imagination must be surrendered to God daily.
When the Holy Spirit anoints your imagination, He fills your mind with faith-filled pictures of God’s promises. Abraham is a perfect example. God told him to look at the stars of the sky and the sand of the seashore as visual anchors for His promise of descendants (Genesis 15:5; 22:17). God gave Abraham a sanctified picture to fuel his faith.
Practically, you can apply this by inviting the Holy Spirit into your thought life. Before you plan, dream, or set goals, pray: “Holy Spirit, sanctify my imagination. Show me what You see.” Then, use Scripture to shape what you picture. For example, if you are believing for provision, imagine your needs supplied according to Philippians 4:19. If you are standing for healing, picture yourself whole according to Isaiah 53:5. Let the Word frame the images you hold in your heart.
Over time, your imagination will no longer be a playground for doubt or fear but a canvas where the Spirit paints pictures of God’s promises. And as you hold those Spirit-breathed visions in faith, you will begin to see them manifest in your life.
