Day 18 Start Your Day with Decrees of Favor

Start Your Day with Decrees of Favor

Scripture:

“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity… it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” —James 3:6 (NKJV)

Devotional Thought:

“The direction of your day is determined by the declarations of your mouth.” —Dr. Daniel LeBlanc

Words have power. Your tongue can set the course of your life—toward favor or frustration. James 3:6 reminds us that the tongue ignites direction, for better or worse. What you say at the start of your day can spark a flow of God’s favor or allow fear to lead. Starting your day with decrees of favor is not just a good idea—it’s a Kingdom strategy. Before circumstances speak to you, speak to your atmosphere. Declare favor, not fear; blessing, not burden. When you declare favor over your day, you align with Heaven, authorizing what enters your life and what must be rejected. Speak faith, and your day will be full of grace. The direction of your day is determined by the words you speak. Decree it into alignment with favor.

Reflection:

• What have my recent words been setting into motion?

• How can I consistently start each day by speaking favor before I face anything else?

Declaration:

I decree that my words set the course of my life, and today I speak favor, abundance, peace, and victory. I will not be led by circumstances but by the voice of God in my mouth. My day is directed by Heaven because my words align with His will.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the creative power in my words. Help me steward my tongue as a tool of blessing, not destruction. I speak favor over this day and every part of my life. Let Your promises take root through my declarations, and let my words lead me into Your best. In Jesus’ name, amen.
